Secondary Class Guides

Priest is the full support and holy-casting continuation of , expanding the class line into stronger party protection, utility, and holy spell pressure. Core tools like , , , and give the class a clean split between full support, hybrid solo leveling, and dedicated spell farming.
On Age of Ymir, Priests are especially valuable because they scale smoothly whether you prefer party play, solo Turn Undead farming, or the traditional Full Support route into . AoY's Game Changes page also extends and inherited to 5 minutes, makes party-wide, sets to 2.5 minutes and to 1 minute, and the live tooltip also states that ME hits all monster races here, not just Undead and Demon. If you enjoy active party support, buff management, and holy utility that remains useful at every stage, Priest is one of the strongest second-class branches to invest in.

Builds
This is the pure support route built around high INT and heavy VIT, then rounded out with some DEX or LUK depending on how much cast smoothness or resist coverage you want. The goal is simple: stay alive, keep buffs up, and stabilize the party with , , , and . AoY's longer buff windows help this route a lot because lasts 2.5 minutes, while inherited and both stay up for 5 minutes.
Full Support is strongest in parties and remains the cleanest long-term route if your goal is High Priest support play. It is still capable of solo undead leveling, but it shines most when your value comes from healing, protection, and buff coverage rather than personal damage.
This route trades some pure support ceiling for a much easier early solo game. Higher AGI, moderate VIT, strong INT, and enough DEX let you self-buff, quest, and grind much more comfortably while still supporting smaller groups. It pairs well with , , and your existing Acolyte buff core. On AoY, affects the whole party and lasts 5 minutes, so this hybrid route supports small groups better than old iRO expectations.
If you expect to party regularly but still want to handle your own leveling windows, this is the most comfortable all-purpose Priest stat spread before eventually narrowing into a more specialized High Priest path.
TU Priest is one of the most popular solo leveling routes because its stats overlap well with support while still giving you real kill pressure on undead targets. High INT, healthy DEX, solid VIT, and some LUK make more reliable, while helps smooth that success rate further.
This is a strong bridge build if you still want party utility but also want to level efficiently through undead-heavy zones like , , and .
ME Priest leans into the class's strongest area-damage option by stacking INT for MATK, DEX for cast time, and enough VIT to not collapse while setting up. The class relies heavily on supported by and its prerequisite.
AoY's Game Changes page and live tooltip both say that ME hits all monster races here, not just Undead and Demon, so this route is no longer locked to the classic niche it had on iRO. It is still the most specialized solo farming route on the class, but it is also the most demanding to execute well because it cares much more about cast setup, positioning, and survival windows than the TU route.
Tactics
| Focus | Notes |
|---|---|
| Magnificat Uptime | Always keep running whenever possible. It improves natural SP recovery for both you and your party, and on AoY the 2.5-minute duration makes maintaining that uptime much smoother. |
| Natural SP Recovery | is one of the simplest sustain tools on the class. Just remember that natural regeneration stops if you are carrying too much weight, so inventory management still matters. |
| Prevent Damage First | often saves more SP than repeated healing. Later on, fills the same role on the transcendent path. This is especially useful on fragile casters and ranged damage dealers. |
| SP-Oriented Gear | Priests benefit heavily from stacking Max SP or SP recovery equipment. Budget-friendly examples include and the set pieces from the equipment section. |
| Emergency SP Items | Keep SP recovery items on hand just like other classes keep healing ready. Practical options include , , , , , , and . |
| Common Sources | and are easy sources for . drops , can provide , and helps supply . |
| Short Recovery Windows | Sitting still has value when you need a quick burst of HP or SP between pulls. Just be mindful of the sit and stand animation delay if enemies are still active nearby. |

Job Change
You can become a Priest once your Acolyte reaches Job Level 40 or 50. On Age of Ymir, you have two practical routes:
| Route | What You Get | Notes |

| Official Priest access through the church test line in , including pilgrimages, purity checks, and undead-focused trials. | A helper Priest can assist in the combat portion if they bring a . Reaching Job 50 also lets you skip the pilgrimage portion. | |
