Mid Rank Hunts Overview
Mid Rank Hunts, often called MH2, are accessed through the Mid Ranks Agent on The Wyvern. Parties enter the Savage Coast map, with hunt boards split into two selectable tiers.

Accessing Mid Rank Hunts
How to Access
- Use
@gomh, the Monster Hunter NPC in the Main Office, or the Warper's Special Areas menu to board The Wyvern. - Equip all five pieces of the set before speaking to the Mid Ranks Agent.
- Choose Savage Coast (MH I) or Savage Coast (MH II), then pay the Zeny permit or consume a ticket.

- Cooldown: No cooldown period on boss hunts; repeatable
- Entry: Full , a selected Monster Hunter role, and a party are required.
- Permit: 50,000 Zeny split across the party, or
- Buffs & Debuffs: All buffs & debuffs are removed upon entry (except ASPD potions)
Elemental Rotation: Each week, the Mid Rank Hunts instance will have a different dominant element, affecting:
- Fire | Water | Wind | Earth | Shadow | Holy
- The monsters and boss hunt will match the current week's element
- Use element-resistant gear to optimize your hunt!
Hunt Rules
Hunt Mechanics
- Each Mid Rank board assigns 200 total target monster kills across the active element's three normal monsters.
- The MVP boss appears only after the current board's target monsters are cleared.
- 50 monsters remaining: A warning announces that the boss is getting close.
- All 200 targets defeated: The MVP boss appears at its marked Savage Coast location.
- Important: Failing to clear the normal monster objectives means no MVP battle.
Death Rules
Death Limitations
- The party has 3 total lives for the hunt.
- Disconnections count as deaths.
- 3rd death or disconnection = automatic hunt failure.
- Hunters who fall before the final failure are returned to the Savage Coast camp.
- Upon failure, all hunters are returned to The Wyvern.
Restricted Map Rules
Map Restrictions
- Teleport, return, warp saving, memo, vending, public chat, dead branches, and Ice Wall are disabled inside the hunt map.
- The instance is party locked; outside players cannot enter another party's hunt.
- Experience gain is disabled for the hunt map, while monster drops remain available.
Quests & Rewards
Quest System
- Choosing a Mid Rank board assigns the matching repeatable hunt objectives for the current element.
- Completion rewards are finalized automatically and sent by mail, with Savage Coast (MH II) paying more Monster Coupons than Savage Coast (MH I).
- Falling to the death limit removes the run objectives and prevents reward completion.
Tracking Progress
Status Command
Hunters can use the @mhstatus command inside the hunt to check MVP spawn progress, current monster kills, boss kills, and quest completion.
